Back to Vincent

Image
I went back. Finally. Back to place where (I believe) my best version emerges: the art museum. I was back - in particular - at the glorious Van Gogh museum. I am pretty sure I was one of the first citizens to be back! It was empty-sh which I loved. It felt more art gallery and less touristic stop. The tourists are not yet back. Also, COVID rules apply: the visit requires a previous booking. I walked in silence: I reconnected with the place. In the new section with unknown stories, I discovered that Van Gogh’s sister in law —and there is no Vincent Van Gogh’s global story without this woman, let’s just remember—lived in the same street where we live. The joy of small and yet magical coincidences!

Happy Sunday

When the weather is good —which is most often not the case —the city feels like a big birthday party. We had lunch in front of a canal and walked home. Happy days.

The hours

This is how I spend some time of my day. Reading, writing, thinking, coffee drinking, watch Amsterdam. Writing in colors. I am weaving this i into my work routine. Less social media. Less headlines. Less “right here, right now” and more reflections and annotations. More purpose. More peace.
